Some of the most common mental health disorders include:
- Depression

Co-Occurring Disorders
Sometimes, mental health disorders come together, and this is what we call co-occurring disorders. Addiction, for example, which is a disease of the brain that has symptoms like intrusive thoughts and obsessive cravings, can be diagnosed alongside anxiety and depression, both of which are mental health disorders. This can be tricky, but with the right treatment plan, anyone can experience wellness and an improved quality of life.
Some of these co-occurring disorders include:
- Eating Disorders
- Substance Abuse
- Alcohol Abuse
- Drug Abuse
- Opioid Abuse
- Prescription Drug Abuse
Treatment for Veterans
Veterans may be prone to mental health conditions than the average individual. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), nearly 1 in 4 active service members had signs of a mental disorder. This proves to show that veterans also need support for their mental health.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has reported that, in 2018, more than 1.7 million veterans received treatment for their mental disorders in a VA mental health program. For this reason, we have specific VA programs for these individuals.
